Interesting question, Christian P.I. novels. If questions of
crime, ethics, and theology are your interest, why not
include any crime fiction, cozy or PI, that takes up
religious issues? Brother Cadfael series, Graham Greene's
haunted criminals (Brighton Rock), Flannery O'Connor's guilty
miscreants all touch deeper questions of faith and
practice.
Also agree with the writer who listed some PIs who find
themselves drawn to churches or confession. Even PIs who seem
to create their own rules as they go along occasionally check
them against a Greater Code.
