george! you're not quoting from the right place! the old
testament has just what the hardboiled tough guy requires.
look in exodus 21:24. eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. as
mr. smith has suggested, you could find some pretty good
hardboiled stories in the old testament, if they were only
colloquial. ;-)
and i can understand why christian writers haven't branched
to porn! its hard to top the 19th chapter of genesis. that'd
make iceberg slim blush! ;-)
