Reed's comment on Dobyns and poets as mystery writers might
have given the impression I was dissing poets as mystery
writers. That was Joy with that view and several of you have
come up with good examples beyond my Benjamin Appel. Gosh, I
should have remembered Charles Willeford's poetry! How could
I have forgotten about POONTANG?
