RARA-AVIS: the hardboiled thin man

i was surprised to see the couple from _the thin man_ nominated. it was my understanding that this book was NOT hardboiled. what i have of hammett is a three-in- one of _maltese falcon_, _red harvest_, and _the thin man_.

i read the first two but ignored _the thin man_ after i heard that it wasn't hardboiled.

is it or is it not hardboiled?
