the main stories he used are "the curtain" and "killer in the
rain". you can find them in a fairly common 70's ballantine
paperback called "killer in the rain", which i also have in a
penguin edition of earlier origin. both editions include
philip durham's introduction where he reveals details of the
bits used for "t.b.s." the ballantine edition has fairly
distinctive cover art by "whistlin' dixie"
(or so the indicia page would have us believe). i just found
two others in this particular ballantine chandler edition
series, and another not too long ago, so w/ any luck a copy
shouldn't be too hard to find.
