Bill, I think it's as good as you remember and then some. I'm
a huge fan of Black Wings. And the female lead was sexy as
hell and hard as kryptonite.
In fact, a couple years ago I toyed with the idea of
re-printing a handful of long out-of-print hardboiled/noir
titles and Black Wings was on my shortlist. (I quickly found
out it would be a lot of work and zero money!)
By the way, Elliot Chaze also wrote a book called "The
Stainless Steel Kimono". I haven't read it, but understand it
to be a war novel.
