Though I love much of Soderbergh's movies, I thought
the
"Underneath" was a piss-poor remake of "Criss-Cross." Of
course, there's no way you can win when you're remaking a
true classic. "Criss-cross" is almost a pure noir as you can
get -- thus, untranslatable to our "modern" era.
Hell. At least it was better than "Against All Odds."

I'll have my ass roto-rootered. But he's still a musical
genius. And I'll go to my grave standing firm.
