I'm finally starting to outline a long-considered HB story
placed in Batista-era Cuba, focusing on factions warring for
control of gambling and other mob interests, on the cusp of
the (Castro-led) revolution. (I'm seeing it as loose sort of
an updating and _noir-icizing_ of The Three Musketeers.) I've
read recent postings and look forward (with relish) to
reading Jose Latour, et.al., but I'm wondering if other
Rara-Avians have suggestions for non-fiction sources for
research purposes (esp. on-line), and other Latino fiction
authors they would recommend relative to understanding the
atmospherics of the period. Thanks in advance. Best Regards,
Erick
