Hello, all.
I just read BODY SCISSORS (1990) by Jerome Doolittle. It's a
tightly-told political thriller from a former Carter
speechwriter that features the Combat Zone. Doolittle's PI
Bethany is a former soldier and Olympic wrestler who tires of
the system, and adopts a new identity. Doolittle pulls off
Bethany's voice well--an iconoclast who knows how to beat the
system every time.
I understand Doolittle's publisher dropped him after six
books, but they're all downloadable from his website: http://www.badattitudes.com/
