Block mentions this Block-head collection of his earliest works in the Intro to the complete collection. As I think I mentioned earlier, he omitted these stories from the recent anthology. I got the impression that he wasn't all that proud of them, since he suggested that an alternate title to the anthology (_One Night Stands_, from Crippen & Landru) might have been _Pieces of String Too Small to Save_.

Which, when I think about it, certainly ought to be the title of *something*.
