I read it. I'd have sworn it was set in the Phillippines. Of
course, I'm the cliff-edge of lunacy from sleep deprivation,
so maybe I'm thinking of
"Little Dorrit."
I've liked all of Crumley that I've read, though "Cadence"
was not my favorite.
