I just received the latest Block newletter ("free and worth
every penny"). I thought I'd pass on a few highlights to
those who don't get it (you can sign up at his website,
www.lawrenceblock.com):
New Scudder, Hope to Die, due in hardback in October. At the
same time, Avon will be re-releasing the rest of the series
in mass market paperbacks.
Block, himself, has just completed a screenplay of Keller,
based on Hit Man. Co-produced by and set to star Jeff
Bridges. A Walk Among the Tombstones and Burglers Can't Be
Choosers (George Clooney supposed to play Bernie) are both in
development.
Crippen & Landru set to publish The Lost Cases of Ed
London, a collection of three novelettes featuring the
private eye in Death Pulls a Doublecross (AKA Cowrd's Kiss).
So Doug (Greene), why didn't you let us know?
Block also lists a number of first editions for sale.
