The original Black Lizard was run by Creative Arts in
Berkeley, with Don Ellis (is that right?) at the helm. Barry
Gifford did the selecting for the most part (or in whole).
They couldn't have had that much money, though there's got to
be someone on the list who knows what they paid. My
understanding was that Random/Vintage bought Black Lizard
almost entirely
(primarily) for the Thompson rights. Doug
