Yes, I remember noticing that passage when I re-read the book
just recently.
Even in passing I enjoyed it:
-it's pretty funny
-it's quite crafty - it says a lot about McGee's
personality
- it draws the reader's sympathy to the narrator because this
is exactly the sort of thing that we ourselves have wondered
about often so enough. Haven't we? Or do I lurk here among a
bunch of sweet, accepting young things?
