Duane: Since Fischer was a hardboiled writer at times, I
guess it's appropriate to discuss some of his other work. A
good book is THE SHUDDER PULPS by Robert Kenneth Jones
(mine's a Plume trade pb reprint). He says that Fischer (as
Russell Gray) was "a dominant force of the period."
