Bill,
I preferred POODLE SPRINGS. PERCHANCE TO DREAM contained
several italicized "flashbacks" (i.e. inserted Chandler
passages from THE BIG SLEEP) and struck me as not much of a
book. As in POODLE SPRINGS, Parker's Marlowe seemed a lot
like Spenser. Makes a good gift for Parker collectors.
