Bad Marlowe clones take his taciturnity and one-liners to an
exaggerated degree. They don't go away from the things that
are easiest to identify and duplicate and begin displaying
traits that Marlowe never exhibited.
If Spenser is a Marlowe clone, he's got a lot less in common
with Marlowe than many another clone.
