>As for ranking Cain, Chandler and
MacDonald-
>why?
So people will ask this exact question.
But not ranking according to objective ideas, but rather
personal preference, and I'm sure it comes across in other
things I read and in my own writing.
So, I say of the 3, Cain makes an ipact on me that the others
do not, even though I am an enormous admirer of all three.
They were different. And the differences make the hard-boiled
tradition stronger. No arguments from me if someone juggles
them differently.
