Kevin's mention of recent crime titles reminds me that the
Dallas Morning News reviewer mentioned a recent title, in the
context of Get Carter. Here's his comment:
Films such as the original Carter, Point Blank and Alfie felt
dangerous in a particularly English way, marked by restraint
and a savage suaveness. Where Steven Soderbergh's The Limey
recaptured this tone with class, Get Carter (new version)
merely does it with style...
Anyone recommend The Limey?
