"Quesada"...
If you think about it, this happens a lot in detective
fiction. Sherlock Holmes lives in the city and often (not
always) has to travel to the country. Marlowe is based in LA,
but all of his cases involve a trip beyond its limits; to the
mountains, to Esmeralda, to Bay City, to the end of one or
other of the half-inhabited canyons. These are not always
voluntary trips you understand, not to be compared with an
Iowa picnic.
