DETECTIVE MAGAZINES - PORNOGRAPHY FOR THE SEXUAL
SADIST

Hey, Park Dietz is considered to be one of the icons in the
forensics field
(speaking as a forensic psychologist myself). He was one of
the founders of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit -- you know,
the guys who brought you Clarice Starling and Hannibal
Lecter. Lots more about him in John Douglas' book Mind
Hunter. I haven't read Douglas' newer book yet -- too many
mysteries clogging up my bedside table. Might get to it in
the fall. While I tend to believe a lot of what people like
Dietz and Ken Lanning say, the FBI has something of a history
of going overboard and blowing things out of proportion.
