Dave,
I agree with Mark. Cuddy isn't very hardboiled, but he is
more fully drawn than a lot of PIs. Unlike Estleman and
Parker, who rely more on attitude, Healy never neglects the
investigative element of his books. His plots are
consistently well thought out, his legal knowledge well
broken down. In recent books Healy is somewhat heavy on
descriptive detail, but some readers appreciate that.
