Yeah, this is a good point, and maybe it hooks up with that
whole "is hb exhausted" discussion we had a little while ago.
No, hb isn't exhausted, but it may well be that the hb pi
novel is -- certainly if Muller and her pals are the savior
of the form, it is.
By the way, I'm always interested in hearing about new female
hardboiled writers that don't stink. Anyone have any
suggestions? Also, if anyone out there really likes Muller,
Grafton, et. al. I'd be curious to know what you see in them.
I'm not interested in getting into an argument or anything --
just looking to see another point of view.
