Richard Moore asked if there were any stories from my
Bouchercon interview with Ross Thomas. Well, not exactly. I
was awed just to be sitting there asking him questions. The
fly in the ointment was a guy named Stilwell, who told me
before hand to be sure and ask Thomas about his short
stories. I didn't even know he'd written any, and for good
reason: he hadn't. Or maybe he'd written only one. At any
rate, I had an awkward moment when I asked, which was exactly
what Stilwell had intended. It wasn't awkward for Thomas,
however, who was good-humored and gracious throughout.
