Then what is the name of the character who wrote his memoires about police procedure? Vidoq? I once read a fairly long, critical essay about his memoirs in which vrious scholars debated his authenticity. My mind doesn't seem to be working well today--I've erred more than i care to remember (or possibly can remember).
