He wrote LITTLE CAESAR, and HIGH SIERRA too, along with a ton
of other stuff. Did a lot of screenplays, and had a lot of
his books adapted. THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT was from a novel by
A.I Bezzerides, according to the IMDB, and Burnett didn't
help adapt it.
