Yes, but Bill Haley and his Comets aren't actually very hardboiled. They are, well, more cozy than hardboiled... at least to my mind.

Bob Randisi's suggestion about "Shaft" is a good one: it is linked with the hb world and is hb in itself, in the texture of the music and lyrics.
