I think the beginning of "Naked Lunch" fits very well in the
hard boiled tradition and style. It sounds just like James
Ellroy! And I surely can find traces of American underground
writing (Burroughs, Ginsberg, Hubert Selby) in Ellroy's
style, no matter what he says himself.
