One other thing about BLUE BOTTLE: Lew is investigating two
cases (which are, of course, interrelated). One is the search
for a missing courier that has disappeared with a large sum
of mob money, the other is a search for a missing novelist.
This struck me as either a riff on or homage to THE LONG
GOODBYE. Does anyone out there know if this was intentional
or not?
He references Chandler so often I'm surprised he never noted
the obvious similarities in print.
Or am I reading into it improperly?
