Warshow's classic essay on the Western was included in many
anthologies at one time, including his own collection, called
(I think), The Immediate Experience. Believe--just to be on a
HB topic--he may have also had an essay on detective
fiction.
And Play Misty For Me is, to my mind, a noir classic--well
ahead of the psycho woman films that arose in the 80s.
