Okay, I've been wondering this for years and if anybody
knows, it'll be one of you folks:
In his introduction to a Lawerence Block short story
collection (Like a Lamb to Slaughter), Joes Gores writes
about how Block, Westlake, Brian Garfield, and Justin Scott
used to get together in the 60's for poker nights. During one
of these games they apparently wrote a novel together. They
would take turns sitting in the back room and each one would
type one chapter (only reading the previous page of the last
chapter)! They wrote the whole thing in one night. Gores says
that the book was published as a paperback original but does
not give the title or any other info about it. Does anybody
know anything at all about this book? If nothing else, it
would be interesting to find out exactly what name it was
published under.
