I just read Marilyn Stasio's review (in the Jan. 9 NYTBR) of MANIFESTO FOR THE DEAD by Domenic Stansberry. It's a mystery novel featuring Jim Thompson as the main character. "Stansberry's prose is an eerie echo of a dead man's style," says Stasio.
