Well, I guess this is a bit off topic, but gosh is it
interesting to put people to the messages we read. I just
miss out, 1959 vintage and as I said in my last post I spent
my horrible teenage years reading Mr Moorcock(blush, though I
never listened to Hawkwind)As a child I read Mythology,
mainly Greek and Bradbury and Asimov. I guess my intoduction
to Crime Fiction came with my going out with my now husband,
who was a Bogart/Film Noir fan. Many happy hours in Sheffield
Library Theatre later and of course I was reading the
books.Dabbled in a few others, Rendell, Allingham,PD James.
University saw little or no fiction(boring Pol /Soc) apart
from lots of comics, graphic novels and chewing gum for the
brain, then kapow, John came home with his usual pile of
paperbacks(serious vinyl and print junkie) and there was
either Vachss or Ellroy and I've never looked back. (I still
do read "proper" books, but as I said in my very first
posting I keep waiting for the murder to happen) Nice to meet
you all Jane PS Sorry if I go on a bit, sometimes you guys
are the only adult company I have all day.(sob)
