Great admirer and fan's advice: Start with his first, "A
Firing Offense", and read them all in order.
More reasonable advice: If you can, start with "The Big
Blowdown" and run through the rest of the D.C. Quartet after
that--"King Suckerman", "The Sweet Forever," and January's
forthcoming "Shame The Devil."
The One Book advice: "King Suckerman"
