I picked up a copy of a book called PULP CULTURE today. It's
not the great collection of old pulp covers by the same
title. It's "hardboiled fiction & the Cold War" by Woody
Haut. It promises "a political and irreverent reading" of
post-war crime fiction, and it discusses plenty of writers
mentioned on Rara-Avis. Anybody familier with this book? Is
it worth my time?
