Dick Contino is certainly a real person, and so is Spade
Cooley. I've heard music by both of them, though some might
contend (in Contino's case) that nothing played on the
accordion is really music.
As for ALPHAVILLE, many years ago an independent tv channel
in Dallas, Texas, ran a Lemmy Caution movie once a week,
concluding the series with ALPHAVILLE. Watching them was
quite an experience. Caution, by the way, was played by Eddie
Constantine, who later wrote a couple of novels. Anyone ever
read one?
