Hi all,
In reply to Bill's question, the novel is entirely in first
person and the only hint at a name is Carroll T. Harris,
which is told in the chapter where he has the laudnum
influenced dream. I just wonder if there is a name, because
in the movie of The Dain Curse, James Coburn plays Hamilton
Nash, but I have yet to see that name anywhere in the book
and did not see it at all in Red Harvest. Maybe I'm just
needlessly chasing a loose thread. I just like Hammett's
character in these books and wish to put a name to him. Oh,
and by the way, Bill, thanks for hunting up the Fatima
pic.
