I remember coming across a book by McGivern last summer when I was in Hay-on-Wye. It wasn't hb or cop-oriented at all, but was a war book
(reminisence-type, I think). It's curiosity value didn't strike me at the time as being worth the asking price, as I already had a couple of armfuls of books picked out to buy.
