I just finished reading Murder Book, by Richard Rayner (the Harper 1999 mass market reprint of a Houghton Mifflin hardcover). It's a nice dark noir swim, with a terrifically flawed hero. Apparently author Raynor is British, and the book is his first work of fiction. Anybody out there know anything more about him or this book?
