Actually, James Lee Burke said at a signing a couple of years
ago that Tommy Lee Jones was interested in acquiring the
rights to Robicheaux and playing Dave. Now that I would pay
to see. But Alec Baldwin's company still held the
rights.
I have heard via bookstore buzz that Arthur Lyons is an
unreasonable sum bitch and that has something to do with his
not having a publishing contract, but don't know if this is
true. I do know his paperbacks have been available in England
and were quite plentiful in several Crowns' bargain sections
2 or 3 years ago. Great writer.
