I started reading this today, and with the weather at 35 and
the humidex making it feel like 45, I feel like I've been in
a dance marathon myself. Does anyone else have the movie
tie-in edition from the '70s? Not only does it have the book,
it also has the script with an introduction by Sidney
Pollack. Nice combo.
I'll send out another message when I've finished it, but I
will say now that it really starts off really well, moving
along quickly and letting you know there's no way out. I was
reminded of the Woolrich novel that starts, "One Hundred
Eighty-Seven Days Before the Execution."
I think I have the movie on tape here, and I look forward to
watching it when I'm done. Gig Young was amazing as the
MC.
