I read "Thieves Like Us" in a Great Depression Lit course a
few years ago. Really great book, Anderson keeps you turning.
The idea that it is better to rob banks than hamburger joints
and filling stations draws an interesting portrait of a Robin
Hood ideal in the Great Depression with the character of
"King John" replaced by corporations. Great stuff, hope you
enjoy the book Mark. Oh, yeah, I believe that the ending of
the book greatly differs from the movie. I could be wrong,
it's been quite awhile.
Cheers. Ziggy Nix
