Thanks, Bill. I guess I was right. It was both poetry and a
play. Which
brings us back on-topic, sort of. The Marlowe attribution
reminds me that
E.C. Ayres (author of the Tony Lowell PI series -- there's the
topic
connection) is writing a book that postulates that Marlowe
actually wrote
the Shakespeare plays after faking his own death to avoid
almost certain
prison. Only Gene could come up with a way to blend history,
mystery and
what sounds like a kind of hard-boiled Elizabethan identity
hustle. Ought to
be one to keep an eye out for.
