A while back there was some discussion of hard-boiled books
about conmen. I
don't think anyone mentioned Richard Wormser's PERFECT PIGEON,
which is a
very satisfactory book about cons. Maybe not hard-boiled, but
certainly
medium-boiled. Well worth seeking out.
