I'll have to look for [The] "Art of the Mystery Story."
This absolutely essential 1946 collection of articles by
authors and
critics was picked up by Carroll & Graf. I have a
paperback edition that
was published in 1983. It also contains Hammett's review of
Van Dine's
"The Benson Murder Case." Good luck in finding it.
