RARA-AVIS: blurbs that kill

of Waterstones yesterday, and found on the back of Alison & Busby's
reissue of _Plender_ that Ted Lewis is 'a name to watch'.

Perhaps it was a blurb contemporary with and reprinted from the book's
original publication. But as A&B chose to print, or reprint it,
nontheless regardless of Ted Lewis's current mortality status, it
provoked a smile from your truly.
