read 6 of them and it is used in all. I don't remember reading the term
in any other book, but do vaguely recall it's being employed by Arlo
Guthrie on the Alice's Restaurant record (although it's probably been
over a decade since I've listened to it), the part where he is sitting
around the draft board with the other guys who answered "yes" to the
question "have you ever been arrested." So maybe it was a standard
euphemism in some circles.
