I've found that some of the best examples of MacDonald's work
come from his
short stories. There are two collected volumes of these,
called Good Old
Stuff and More Good Old Stuff (I could be confusing the
names, but they're
something like that), respectively. I can't recommend them
highly enough.
Some of the stories are real gems. I found both volumes at a
regular used
book store for about 2 bucks a piece. I think they were
printed in the late
80's. I hope this helps.
