one should not forget among the living the miriad of excellent
french noir
writers (some of them translated like didier daeninckx....),
some spanish ones
(Vasquez Montalban being the most famous and translated), some
italians too,
and now some algerian ones (exiles living in france)...and in
the list of the
americans living and contributing on every level
(scripts/short
stories/promotion/novels/teaching...): Jerome Charyn
question to someone who posted an answer to the 'dead or
alive question': is
Jakob Arjouni translated in english and available in the
states??
