I've read and enjoyed the QUARRY series by Max Allan Collins,
the Keller
series by Robert Bloch, THIS GUN FOR HIRE by Graham Greene,
ANGRY MOON by
Terrill Lankford...and a couple other miscellaneous
works.
Stephen Hunter is a bit too ballistic-oriented for me. I'm
looking for
works that are character-driven - the angst, the inner
struggle of a killer,
etc - wherein the hitman is somewhat of the classic
"anti-hero."
Any ideas?
